Montessori Programs
Brightonview offers dedicated and experienced AMS and AMI trained teachers to support the whole child.
Academic Year at Brightonview
At Brightonview Montessori, we are dedicated to providing a consistent, high-quality educational experience that supports each child’s growth and development. Our programs are structured around the academic school year to create stability, build strong routines, and ensure uninterrupted learning.
Placement is determined by a child’s age as of September 1 of the school year, with final classroom assignments based on developmental readiness and individual needs. The academic year begins in September and runs through mid-June. Families may choose to take the summer off or participate in our year-round learning option—visit our Summer Program page for details.

Infants
6 weeks - 18 months
A Montessori classroom for infants, sometimes referred to as “The Nido” (Italian for "nest"), accommodates non-mobile or crawling infants in a peaceful classroom environment. Here, the infant safely explores, feeling secure in the presence of loving adult caregivers. The environment includes developmentally appropriate furniture and materials.

Primary
3 years - 6 years
Our early childhood program encourages increased independence and gives children the tools to not only care for, but to love and respect themselves and their environment. Dr. Maria Montessori discovered that around three years of age the child needs an environment in which these tendencies can continue to flourish. In the environment, the student learns the importance of self-discipline, responsibility, personal identity and an understanding of the world. Children find joy by producing meaningful work and by seeing a task or concept from start to finish.

Toddlers
18 months - 36 months
The Toddler classroom introduces children to the prepared Montessori classroom. We begin to introduce more routine and structure to children’s activities and daily schedule. Your child will build vocabulary, learn functional numerical skills, and will be encouraged to use simple reasoning to explain everyday occurrences. Toilet training is part of the classroom experience.

Before and After School
The before and aftercare school programs focus on nurturing the child's holistic well-being in a more flexible and relaxed setting. This ensures the entire day supports the child's development while respecting their need for rest, play, and self-directed activities outside the 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Montessori school day. This program has age-restrictions. Discuss with your Head of School.
Schedule Options
For the school year, we offer three schedule options and to fit the needs of your family. An important part of the Montessori Method is consistency, therefore our programs are offered Monday - Friday.
